Manchester Monarchs News Release
MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Rich Seeley, announced today that Quentin Shore has been assigned to the team by the Ontario Reign (AHL), and Connor Hardowa has been loaned to the Reign.
The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings and the American Hockey League's Ontario Reign.
Shore, 22, returns from his first call to the AHL in his rookie campaign after playing seven games in Ontario where he did not record a point after being loaned Feb. 5. With the Monarchs, Shore has scored 38 points on 16 goals and 22 assists, with 18 penalty minutes and a +13 rating in 46 games.
The 6-foot-2, 183-pound native of Denver, Colo., played collegiately for the University of Denver for four seasons, accumulating 98 points on 40 goals and 58 assists in 151 games. Shore was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the sixth round (#168 overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Hardowa, 28, heads to the AHL for the first time this season after scoring 18 points on three goals and 15 assists in 49 games for the Monarchs. In the absence of captain David Kolomatis, Hardowa donned the "C" for the Monarchs.
The 6-foot-1, 209-pound native of Edmonton, Alberta, played collegiately at the University of New Hampshire where he scored 43 points on 11 goals and 32 assists in 143 games spanning four seasons. In his final season on campus, Hardowa was named team captain. After leaving school, Hardowa played two games for the Abbotsford Heat (AHL) and five games for the Texas Stars (AHL), with a stop playing for KooKoo in the Finnish Ice Hockey League.
Shore and the Monarchs are back in action Saturday, Feb. 25 (6 p.m.) when they open a two-game series with the Alaska Aces for the first time in franchise history at SNHU Arena on American Pride Night.
