Quebec Wins Pitchers Duel

PITTSFIELD, MA - The Pittsfield Colonials and Quebec Capitales saw both of their starting pitchers toss phenomenal ball throughout their Monday night contest as the Capitales prevailed with a 2-0 win.

The Capitales got a pair of runs in the fifth inning as a throwing error and an Ben Gorang single scored Patrick D'Aoust and Jeff Helps for a 2-0 Quebec lead.

Those turned out to be the only two runs of the game as both starting pitchers were fantastic. Bryan Rembisz (5-1) pitched eight shutout innings for Quebec on the day, allowing just two hits. Dan Sausville tossed a perfect ninth for his first save.

David Qualben (3-4) matched Rembisz nearly pitch for pitch. He allowed 10 hits and just two runs, only one earned, going all nine innings.

The third game of the series is a day game, slated for a 12:30 p.m. first pitch on Tuesday from Wahconah Park.
