Quebec 2, Pittsfield 0

Quebec starting pitcher Bryan Rembisz pitched a dominant eight innings, conceding just two hits to lead the Capitales to a 2-0 win over the Pittsfield Colonials. The right-hander fanned seven hitters and allowed zero earned runs. Rembisz improves his record to 5-1 this season with the win tonight and has the league's best ERA at 1.83. Quebec scored two runs in the top of the fifth inning and that was the difference in the game. Capitales C Patrick D'Aoust doubled and later scored on an error, and DH Ben Gorang hit an RBI single to cap off the inning. Quebec reliever Dan Sausville worked a 1-2-3 ninth to earn the save.

New Jersey 5, Rockland 0 (7 Innings)

New Jersey RF Leonard Davis had two RBIs as the Jackals defeated the Rockland Boulders 5-0 in a rain-shortened contest. With the game still scoreless through three innings, Jackals LF Jordan Newton's RBI single in the top of the fourth broke the deadlock. New Jersey CF Nick Santomauro batted in a run later in the inning to make it 2-0 Jackals. In the fifth frame, Davis belted a two-run homer to make it 4-0 Jackals. It was Davis' eighth home run of the season. Jackals starter Shaun Ellis allowed no runs in his six innings pitched to earn the win. New Jersey C Chris Anderson added an insurance run in the sixth inning with an RBI single. For the Boulders, LF Jeremy Slayden went 2-for-3 in the loss.

Brockton 6, New York 5

After surrendering a four-run lead, the Brockton Rox rallied with a two-run eighth inning to defeat the New York Federals 6-5. The Rox jumped ahead early when 3B Mike Torres hit an RBI single in the bottom of the first. Brockton added three more in the second inning, courtesy of LF Ryan Royster's RBI sacrifice fly and CF Chris Valencia's two-RBI triple. New York tied the game at 4-4 with a four-run sixth inning. Federals CF Jacob Fabry singled in a run and 1B Eddie Lantigua hit a three-run homer. New York then took a 5-4 lead on 2B Dan Barbero's RBI double in the seventh inning. The Rox rallied in the bottom of the eighth. Shortstop Dominic Ramos singled in a run and then came around to score the go-ahead run when Torres singled him home. Torres went 4-for-5 at the plate in the game with two RBIs. Brockton reliever Jake Loye was credited with the win for his one run allowed in two innings pitched. Rox reliever Jake Hale worked a scoreless ninth to earn the save.
