
Quakes Rally for Win in Visalia

Visalia, CA - Rancho Cucamonga scored the final five runs of Saturday's game in Visalia, picking up their first win of the four-game series with a come-from-behind 5-2 victory over the Rawhide at Recreation Park in Visalia.
O'Koyea Dickson doubled home the game-winner in the eighth and Darnell Sweeney cracked a two-run homer for some insurance in the ninth, as the Quakes ended a two-game losing streak.
Tied at 2-2 in the eighth, Noel Cuevas singled with two outs, then stole second base to put himself in scoring position for Dickson. Visalia reliever Kaleb Fleck (1-1) couldn't keep it tied though, as Dickson ripped one into the ally in right-center field, scoring Cuevas with the go-ahead run.
In the ninth, Visalia reliever Conrad Flynn surrendered a lead-off walk to Pedro Guerrero, then got taken to right field by Darnell Sweeney. The two-run shot for Sweeney was his seventh of the year, giving Rancho a 5-2 advantage.
Eric Eadington worked around a one-out single in the ninth, earning his second save of the year.
JonMichael Redding (1-2) pitched 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to earn the win.
Quakes' starter Lindsey Caughel allowed two runs over five innings, put didn't get any run support until the sixth, when the Quakes tied the game.
Darnell Sweeney scored on a throwing error to put the Quakes on the board, before Cuevas brought home Devin Shines with an RBI single, evening the game at 2-2 against Visalia starter Andrew Barbosa.
The Quakes (29-33) will look to split the four-game series on Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm. Jarret Martin (3-6) will throw for Rancho, while Kyle Schepel (2-4) will toe the rubber for Visalia in the series-finale.
After the conclusion of this seven-game road trip, the Quakes will return to LoanMart Field on Thursday, June 13th, taking on the Stockton Ports for a four-game series. Thursday night is another Thirsty Thursday, with $2 16-oz domestic beers and $2 24-oz Pepsi products.
