Quad City Steamwheelers News Release
The Quad City Steamwheelers, defending Champions of the IFL's Eastern Conference, have re-signed wide receiver Londell Lee.
In 2022, Lee caught 15 passes for 178 yards and 3 touchdowns. He carried the ball 11 times for 70 yards and 1 touchdown. On special teams, he returned 6 kicks for 73 yards. In total, Lee produced 321 all-purpose yards and 4 touchdowns.
Director of Player Personnel Ryan Michael told SteamwheelersFootball.com "Londell knows the system well and was a key contributor for us in 2022. In our first game vs. Frisco, he put up 101 all-purpose yards and scored a touchdown in overtime. He's proven he can compete with the best teams in this league and I look forward to seeing his development in 2023."
Lee joins a talented receiving corps including teammates Mike Carrigan, Jarrod Harrington, Isaiah Grice, John Brunner and Damien King.
"He had a standout game that we felt was going to be his true breakout but in that same game he suffered an injury that was season ending. We are excited to get him back healthy and hope to see him pick up where he left off come training camp. " said Head Coach Cory Ross.
