Pulock Recalled by Islanders

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The New York Islanders announced today defenseman Ryan Pulock has been emergency recalled from loan from the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Pulock, 22, notched one assist and a plus-2 rating in Bridgeport's first two games of the season. He played 51 games with the Sound Tigers last year and led all team defensemen in goals (7), assists (17) and points (24). The third-year pro also spent 15 games with the Islanders including his NHL debut on February 28th at Edmonton. He scored his first NHL goal on March 17th at Nashville and finished the season with four points (two goals, two assists) and five penalty minutes with New York.

A native of Dauphin, Manitoba, Pulock has played 108 games with the Sound Tigers since his debut in 2014, recording 54 points (24 goals, 30 assists) and 20 penalty minutes.

The 6'2, 215-pound defenseman was originally selected in the first round (#15 overall) by the Islanders in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
