- TODAY'S STORYLINES
Goalie Depth: The Albany Devils are currently carrying three goaltenders on their roster. Scott Wedgewood has established himself as a regular in the team's lineup, while Ken Appleby and Mackenzie Blackwood are making their case to defend the Devils net.
"We really don't want to give an indication that it's set in stone," said Head Coach Rick Kowalsky. "They've made our decision hard, which is what we want here, what they want in New Jersey and what we want throughout the organization. We want healthy competition all the time."

Devils To Appeal Second Fight: The Devils will appeal to the AHL to have Andrew MacWilliam's second fighting major not count towards his overall total. New this season, any player who drops the gloves 10 times will receive a one game suspension. MacWilliam had two altercations during Saturday's 5-2 win against St. John's.
"We're going to look at trying to get one of those rescinded because of a potential instigator," Kowalsky said. "MacWilliam definitely didn't want to fight. Guys actually sought him out and the instigator rule actually says 'distance traveled.' The [Bobby] Farnham one, certainly; we watched it on video, he went out, went around the net."
