State College Spikes News Release

Penn State fans will get a thrill when former All-American wide receiver Kenny Jackson throws out the ceremonial first pitch before Thursday's game and signs autographs over the first three innings. Jackson, a key contributor to the Nittany Lions' 1982 National Championship team, is still second all-time in receiving yards with 2,006. After being selected in the first round of the 1984 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles, Jackson spent eight years in the league with the Eagle and Houston Oilers. Jackson also helped develop future NFL stars Bobby Engram, Freddie Scott and Joe Jurevicius as Penn State's wide receivers coach from 1993-2000.

Kenny Jackson's appearance is just one of the many fun, family activities going on at the ballpark over the last two games of the 2010 Spikes home slate. Check out this complete list of upcoming promotions!
