
Proulx & Taylor named Players of the Week

Montreal, Aug. 25, 2009 - Montreal Alouettes' safety Matthieu Proulx and return specialist Larry Taylor have been named, respectively, the CFL's Canadian and Special Teams Players of the Week for Week 8.
Matthieu Proulx - Canadian Player of the Week
Proulx returned two interceptions for a total of 43 yards on top of recording three defensive tackles and one special teams tackle in the Alouettes' 34-25 win against the Roughriders. The veteran safety is tied for the league lead with four interceptions this season.
Larry Taylor - Special Teams Player of the Week
Taylor scored a 68-yard punt-return touchdown against the Roughriders, finishing the game with 125 combined yards, including 74 on four punt returns and 51 on one kickoff return. He is second in the CFL with 1,019 combined yards.
Both players were unanimous selections.
The Als will return to action on Friday, Sept. 4 as they travel to Vancouver to visit the Lions at BC Place (RDSHD, TSNHD, CKAC SPORTS, CJAD 800 AM).
