Paxton Crawford (1-1) takes on Lincoln Mikkelsen (2-0) tonight, Bubba Hardwick (1-0) goes against Ben Simon (0-1) tomorrow night at 7:05 & Brian Smith (2-0) takes on Mark Nussbeck (0-0) on Thursday night at 7:05 PM. Nashua has used a combination of timely hitting, strong pitching, and excellent base-running to get off to one of the best starts in recent years. Individuals like OF Curtis Pride (.364, 5 HR, 18 RBI), OF David Francia (.361, 2 3B, 7 SB) and 3B Chop Pough (.394, 13 hits, 2 HR) have provided the offense for Nashua, but the hitting production has been fairly balanced throughout the lineup, which is why Nashua is currently tied for the top team batting average in the league (.288 BA, 14 HR, 20 SB). On the mound, the Pride's starting pitching been equally strong. Starters Brian Looney, Brian Smith and Bubba Hardwick all have ERA's under 2.50 and closer Johnny Ruffin has picked up four save sin five outings and has yet to give up an earned run.

Last weekend, Nashua put it all together in a 3-game set against Pennsylvania, sweeping the Road Warriors by a combined score of 25-9.

Nashua hits the road for a six-game road trip vs. Jose Offerman and Bridgeport on May 16-18 and against second-place Long Island on May 20 - 22 before returning home for a six-game homestand from May 23rd thru May 28th vs. Somerset and Long Island.
