American Defenders of New Hampshire News Release
(NASHUA, NH, August 13, 2007) Lefthander Beau Hintz pitched seven strong innings Monday night and the Nashua Pride bats continued their torrid pace as the Pride downed the Worcester Tornadoes, 8-1, before 1,029 fans at Historic Holman Stadium. It was the start of a big 10-game homestand for the Pride who continue to battle for a berth in the Can-Am League playoffs.
Hintz (1-0) scattered six hits and allowed one earned run over seven innings. He walked two and struck out one. Righthander Steve Palazzolo held Worcester scoreless over the final two innings.
John Ramistella keyed the Pride attack with four RBI's. Ramistella homered off Worcester starter and loser Matt Weagle (1-5) to lead off the Nashua first inning. It was the ninth home run of the season for Ramistella. The Pride had six straight hits and four runs in the sixth inning including a run-scoring single by Ramistella. "Rambo" was then credited with two RBI's on an infield hit in the eighth. Tom Creighton, Jermy Acey and former Tornado Chris Colabello each had two hits on the night. One of Colabello's hits was his 12th home run of the season, six with Worcester and now six with the Pride.
Rico Santana drove in Worcester's only run with a sixth inning single.
