September 9, 2007 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
New Jersey Jackals News Release
Little Falls, NJ -The New Jersey Jackals' bats were silenced Sunday night as the Nashua Pride comeback and win the series with a 4-0 win. The Nashua Pride move on to the Can-Am League Championship Series against the North Shore Spirit.
Nashua's offense gave the Jackals a tall mountain climb in the first inning. John Ramistella led off the ballgame with a solo homerun, and later in the inning, Chris Colabello did the same to give the Pride a 2-0 lead quickly.
In the fourth, the Pride jumped ahead 4-0 with a two-RBI double by Jack Joffrion. They'd score no runs for the rest of the way, but none were needed as starter Hideki Nagasaka baffled the Jackals the entire way.
Nagasaka baffled the Jackals from beginning to end, earning the win. He allowed no runs in seven innings of work, while walking just one, and yielding four hits.
John Kelly took the loss for the Jackals.
