The Nashua Pride, behind a sensational pitching performance from starter Hideki Nagasaka, beat the New Jersey Jackals 4-0 in game five and move on to face the North Shore Spirit in the Can-Am League Championship Series. Nagasaka went seven solid innings allowing only four hits and one walk while striking out two New Jersey batters. The bullpen combination of Steve Palazzolo and Rich Garces finished the final two innings giving up only two hits. 1B Chris Colabello and SS Olmo Rosario led the way offensively for Nashua as they both had 2-for-5 outings at the plate with Colabello hitting a first inning solo home run. 2B Jack Joffrion also collected two hits in the game, including a two-run double in the fourth inning to stretch the Pride lead to 4-0. For the Jackals in the losing effort, 3B Wilton Veras went 2-for-4. Game one of the championship series will begin on Tuesday night at Holman Stadium in Nashua.
