Pride Acquire Whyte from Toledo

FLORENCE, SC – The Pee Dee Pride announced today that the team has acquired forward Noah Whyte from the Toledo Storm in exchange for future considerations.

The 23-year-old Whyte is in his first professional season. In 31 games with the Storm this season, the Pine Falls, Manitoba native tallied one goal and four assists, and also accumulated 38 penalty minutes. He scored his first professional goal on January 22 against the Dayton Bombers.

Pee Dee returns to action on Friday hosting the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:30 p.m. Following the game, Builder's First Source, Chick-fil-a, First Choice Health Care and LifeWay Christian Store present a post-game concert featuring the contemporary Christian music of The Akin's. Discounted group tickets are available through the Pride office by calling (843) 669-7825.

Following a Saturday match-up at Greenville, the Pride are back home on Sunday afternoon, hosting the Charlotte Checkers in a 2:30 matinee. It's another Sunday Kids' Day, with 200 or 400 level seats just $2.50 for kids 12 and under. In addition, kids' meals (hot dog, chips, and soda) will are available for an additional $2.50.
