Bombers Road Trip Starts With 4-2 Loss in Trenton

Trenton, NJ – The Dayton Bombers opened a six game road trip with a 4-2 loss to the Trenton Titans in front of 5,224 at the Sovereign bank Arena on "Education Day" in Trenton, New Jersey on Wednesday morning. Over 2,000 students from various Central New Jersey Schools enjoyed the Titans 27th win of the season.

The Titans opened a 1-0 lead when Nick Deschenes scored a powerplay goal at 2:08 of the first period. SCOTT CAMERON tied the game, 1-1, with his 13th goal of the season at 18:32.

The teams also swapped goals in the second period. Nick Deschenes scored his second goal of the day giving Trenton a 2-1 lead at 5:39. Then, MATT HERNEISEN tied the game, 2-2, at 12:37 of the second period.

Michael Chin scored the game-winning goal at 6:57 of the third period, and added an insurance goal at 15:48 to lead the Titans to the 4-2 win. It was the fifth straight win for Trenton over Dayton in the season series, which continues Saturday night in New Jersey. The Titans outshot the Bombers, 27-16.

The Bombers return to action Friday night when they travel to Historic Boardwalk Hall to face the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies at 7:00 PM. "The Coaches Corner" Pre-Game Show starts at 6:50 PM on 980 Homer, The Sports Animal, and at daytonbombers.com.
