Saginaw, MI - The Saginaw Spirit (34-14-2-2 72pts.) look to build on their four-game win streak against the in-state rival Flint Firebirds (10-41-4-0 14pts.) Wednesday, February 13 at The Dow Event Center. Puck drop for the eighth and final meeting of the season between the West Division foes is set for 7:05 p.m.
The Spirit look to remain perfect against the Firebirds after taking the first seven games this season. Saginaw has defeated Flint in nine straight games and 14 of the last 15 meetings.
Wednesday's game will be the first even Arts, Hearts, and Spirit Night presented by The Saginaw Art Museum. The will be a Mike McMath art presentation prior to the game in the Budweiser Red Room beginning at 5:30 p.m. As well as silent and live auctions following the game to support the Saginaw Art Museum.

Saginaw is coming off an impressive victory over the Western Conference leading London Knights to kick off their four-game home stand Saturday evening.
2017 Florida Panthers 10th overall pick Owen Tippett had his best game as a Saginaw Spirit in the victory over the Knights. The Peterborough, Ontario native was honored with the game's first star with two goals and a plus/minus of plus-three.
Tippett has 24 goals and 23 assists in just 38 games this season split between the Spirit and the Mississauga Steelheads. The right-winger rides a three-game point streak into Wednesday's game against the Firebirds.
Standout rookie Cole Perfetti extended his point streak to six games with an assist in Saturday's victory over London. The left-winger has three goals and six assist during the hot-streak.
Perfetti, a 2018 first round pick of the Saginaw Spirit, is tied with Sarnia's Jacob Perrault for second among all OHL rookies with 48 points this season. The Whitby, Ontario native is in the top-three among OHL rookies in all three major offensive categories.
Minnesota Wild prospect Damien Giroux has scored in the last two Saginaw Spirit games. The Saginaw captain leads all Spirit players with a plus/minus of plus-19 this season.
New York Islanders prospect Bode Wilde is third among OHL defensemen with 54 points this season. The former University of Michigan commit leads the Spirit with 41 assists.
In recognition of Wilde's stellar play this season, the New York Islanders signed the 2018 NHL second round pick to an entry-level contract recently.
Spirit scoring leading Cole Coskey is the only Spirit player in the OHL's top-25 in points. The Zion, Illinois native is just one-point behind Chris Chappell for 10th all-time in points among Spirit players.
Coskey's climb up the Saginaw Spirit record book continued last week against the Windsor Spitfires. The right-winger moved into the top-10 in Spirit all-time goal scorers with 71 career goals.
Detroit Red Wings prospect Brady Gilmour passed Justin Kea for 19th most all-time in goals Saturday against the Knights. The Grafton, Ontario native has a goal in the last two games.
Arizona Coyotes native Ivan Prosvetov shined in the victory against the London Knights. The Russian goaltender was honored with the game's third-star after making a career-high 55 saves in the win.
Prosvetov has three shutouts this season, including one against the Flint Firebirds back on October 20.
Dallas Stars first round pick Ty Dellandrea leads the Firebirds with 53 points this season. It is the second consecutive season for the Flint center with 50 points or more. The Spirit have done will to contain the Flint captain this season, allowing just three assists in seven games.
Right-winger Jake Durham leads all Flint players with 32 goals this season. The Port Perry, Ontario native goal total exploded this season after scoring just eight goals last season.
2019 NHL draft prospect Eric Uba has been one of the Firebirds most consistent contributors this season. NHL Central Scouting has the Flint right-winger ranked 150th among North American skaters.
The Firebirds have two players drafted by NHL teams on their roster, forward Ty Dellandrea (Dallas Stars) and defenseman Dennis Busby (Arizona Coyotes).
The Spirit boasts eight players drafted by NHL clubs, forwards Brady Gilmour (Detroit Red Wings), Blade Jenkins (New York Islanders), Owen Tippett (Florida Panthers-signed), Ryan McLeod (Edmonton Oilers), Damien Giroux (Minnesota Wild), defensemen Reilly Webb (Detroit Red Wings), Bode Wilde (New York Islanders-signed), and goaltender Ivan Prosvetov (Arizona Coyotes).
