
Preview: Spirit Fight the Fronts Friday on Habitat for Humanity Night

SAGINAW, MI - On Friday, the Saginaw Spirit (23-31-4-3 53 points, 8th Western Conference) host the Eastern Division Champion Kingston Frontenacs (40-15-2-2 84 points, 1st Eastern Conference) for Habitat for Humanity Night at The Dow Event Center. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
The Spirit took to the ice on Wednesday night in Flint in the conclusion of the Coors Light I-75 Divide Rivalry Series. Saginaw surrendered a two-goal third period lead and fell in overtime to the Firebirds, 6-5.
With the point the Spirit picked up, Saginaw currently leads Flint by nine points for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference with seven games remaining in the season.
The Fronts come to town as the OHL's hottest team, winning their past five contests outscoring their opponents, 25-7.
The Frontenacs currently have seven NHL draft picks, with two of them, Michael Dal Colle (NYI) and Lawson Crouse (FLA) being first round picks in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

The Spirit fell to the Kingston Frontenacs at the Rogers K-ROCK Centre on January 22nd by a score of 6-1. Conor McGlynn led the way for the Fronts with two goals and an assists. Michael Dal Colle and Spencer Watson added a goal and assist apiece. The Spirit tally came from Brady Gilmour in the 6-1 defeat. The Spirit have won the last four meetings against the Fronts at The Dow Event Center.
