After spending the last month (six games) at home, the Skyforce embark on a four-game road swing before heading to Las Vegas, Nevada for the G League Showcase.
The Skyforce (1-7) will play the Motor City Cruise (5-4) in a back-to-back series in Detroit, Michigan on Tuesday (10:00 AM CST) and Wednesday (7:00 PM CST).
This marks the first time the Skyforce will face the Motor City Cruise. The Detroit Pistons bought the Northern Arizona Suns from the Phoenix Suns and relocated them to Detroit and changed their name to the Motor City Cruise.
Sioux Falls comes into the contest dropping its last four games, with the latter coming in a 107-96 loss to Fort Wayne. Despite the struggles, the Skyforce have held a lead at halftime and a double-digit lead in six-of-eight games this season.
Brandon Knight continues to lead the Sioux Falls offense, as he's had 24-plus points in his last three games. Knight has also led the Skyforce in scoring in the last three games, with the latter stat line being 26 points (9-16 FGA and 4-7 3PA), seven rebounds and five assists on Saturday. He also is tied for fourth in the G League with 29 three pointers made this season.
Since entering the starting lineup, Dru Smith has excelled and played efficient. In three games as a starter, he is averaging 18.6 points on 51-percent shooting, four assists, five rebounds and 1.6 steals per game.
Micah Potter is coming off a career game on Saturday, where he posted 20 points (8-16 FGA) and 21 rebounds.
Motor City likes to get the ball moving, as they rank third in the G League in three pointers made (129), fifth in scoring (114.4 points per game) and assists (24.8 assists per game). The Skyforce will look to win the rebounding battle against the high-powered Cruise offense to limit their chances.
Entering the series, Saben Lee is leading the G League in scoring (29.8 points per game) and is third in assists (7.8 per game) for the Cruise. However, the Pistons recently recalled Lee, Luka Garza and Isaiah Livers from Motor City on Monday.
