PRINCE GEORGE BC - The Cougars home-stand wraps up this week with a double-header against the Kelowna Rockets, beginning tonight at the CN Centre.

Cougars Last Game: A 4-2 win over the Victoria Royals on Saturday night at the CN Centre

Royals Last Game: A 6-3 loss to the Prince Albert Raiders on Tuesday, January 31st

NEWS AND NOTES

Last Time Out: A pair of goals from Koehn Ziemmer, and singles from Chase Wheatcroft and Caden Brown propelled the Cougars to a weekend sweep over the Victoria Royals, winning 4-2. Tyler Brennan collected his 9th victory of the season and third consecutive victory.

History 'Chased': Cougars forward Chase Wheatcroft is the new Cougars single-season power-play king. The Calgary, AB scored his 19th power-play tally which passed Berkeley Buchko for the record. Wheatcroft also enters tonight's game against Kelowna with points in 9 straight games.

Against the Rockets: The Cougars and Rockets have met 4 times this season, and the teams have split two games apiece. The most recent game between both teams came on Tuesday January 10th when Ty Young collected his first career WHL shutout in a 3-0 blanking.

On the Other Side: The Kelowna Rockets are coming off a 4-0 shutout win over the Prince Albert Raiders this past Saturday night. Talyn Boyko was rock solid in goal, making 51 saves in the win. Marcus Pacheco, Carson Golder, and Elias Carmichael (2 goals) supplied the Rocket offence.
