Preview: FC Tulsa vs. San Antonio FC, Saturday, 7 p.m., ONEOK Field

September 25, 2020 - United Soccer League Championship (USL) - FC Tulsa News Release

TULSA - Three home matches remain and FC Tulsa still has everything to play for. Trailing Austin Bold FC by two points for the last playoff spot, but preserving a match-in-hand, FC Tulsa is set for a showdown with San Antonio FC at ONEOK Field on Saturday night.

FC Tulsa remains in control of its own destiny going into the match as wins in its final three (or possibly four) regular season matches would clinch a playoff spot. Saturday's opponent will be a tough test as San Antonio FC comes into Tulsa with the best record in the USL Championship and in line for the No. 1 overall seed.

Kickoff at ONEOK Field is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.

San Antonio FC is currently the class of the USL Championship. With a 10W-1L-3D record, SAFC has the best record and most points in the league. It has already clinched the top seed in Group D and could clinch the No. 1 overall seed with wins in its final two matches. That No. 1 overall seed would mean the USL Championship would run through San Antonio.

FC Tulsa has struggled against San Antonio this season, earning one draw and taking one loss in two previous 2020 meetings. San Antonio is the only team that FC Tulsa has failed to score against with 0-0 and 2-0 scorelines. The 2-0 loss to San Antonio on August 22 was Tulsa's first defeat against SAFC in the last five meetings, coming after two wins and two draws in the previous four meetings dating back to 2018.

San Antonio FC 10-1-3 33 pts

Austin Bold FC 4-3-6 18 pts

FC Tulsa 3-2-7 16 pts

OKC Energy FC 1-6-6 9 pts

Rio Grande Valley FC 0-9-3 3 pts

The match will be broadcast on TV locally on My41 Tulsa and nationally streamed on ESPN+. You can follow @FCTulsa on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook for updates and highlights throughout the match.
