San Antonio FC News Release

At a glance...

Help Up Top SAFC forward Jordan Perruzza has made an instant impact since joining on loan from Toronto FC. Despite only playing 157 minutes over three matches so far for SAFC, Perruzza's 10 shots rank seventh on the club, while his five shots on target rank fifth. In the 2-0 win over OKC last weekend, Perruzza scored two goals and recorded a team-high seven shots and four shots on target -- both of which are single-game highs for SAFC in 2020. His seven shots in the game were just one shy of the SAFC record of eight, which was set by Frank Lopez on 8/10/19 at Reno.

On the Wings San Antonio's unique style of play this season has put a lot of responsibility on the club's two wing-backs. Blake Smith and Connor Maloney have been integral parts of the club this season, affecting matches on both sides of the ball. Smith leads all SAFC defenders with eight shots and 14 key passes while also ranking second on the club with 21 interceptions. Maloney leads all SAFC defenders with two assists in addition to leading the club in interceptions (30) and tackles (36).
