SWIFT CURRENT, SK - The Swift Current Broncos (7-23-1-2) are hoping to forget about their 6-0 loss to the Lethbridge Hurricanes (22-10-0-5) on the road Saturday night as they welcome the Hurricanes to the Innovation Credit Union iPlex Monday night.
Saturday, the Hurricanes scored just 1:14 after puck drop and never looked back. Logan Barlage picked up four points for the Hurricanes to lead the attack while the Broncos couldn't connect on the power play, finishing 0-for-8. That included two lengthy five-on-three opportunities.
Reece Klassen turned aside 31 shots in the loss as he still looks for his first victory in a Broncos uniform.
Monday's game is a night of remembrance at the Innovation Credit Union iPlex as the Broncos pay tribute to those lost in 1986 bus crash. Trent Kresse, Scott Kruger, Brent Ruff and Chris Mantyka are forever remembered by the Broncos, their fans and the entire Western Hockey League.
