Preview: Americans at Blazers - October 27

The Ams will take on the Blazers for back-to-back games at the Sandman Centre tis weekend.

They have met once prior this season on October 14 when the Ams won 5-2. Scoring was spread out with seven different goal scorers that night. Parker Bell led the game with one goal and two assists. Lukas Matecha played in net for the Ams, turning aside 23/25 shots faced.

The Americans opened their three-game road trip with a 6-2 loss in Everett on Wednesday .Jake Sloan opened scoring in the first period. It was his first goal since recording a hat trick on 9/23 in Prince George. The first period finished tied at 1-1, but the Silvertips went on to net six straight and take a 6-1 lead by mid-third period. Brandon Whynott added a late goal for the Americans. All four of his goals this season have came against Everett. Gavin recorded an assist on Sloan's goal, giving him a season-high three game point streak with one goal and four assists over that period. Nick Avakyan played the full game in net, turning aside 23/29 shots faced.

Kamloops has only won once this season and is 0-9-1-0 over their last 10 games. The Americans will look to bounce back and avoid their first back-to-back losses this season.
