ICE CHIPS The Winnipeg ICE are in Brandon for a 7:00 face off at Westoba Place to start their four game WHL preseason schedule. The two teams return to The RINK Training Centre for a 7:00 face off tomorrow night.

Winnipeg's final two preseason games are against the Regina Pats: - Thursday, Sept. 15 @ Regina, 8:00 - Saturday, Sept. 17 @ The RINK Training Centre, 7:00 The ICE open the 2022-23 WHL regular season schedule in Brandon Saturday, September 24.

ICE VS WHEAT KINGS Winnipeg had an 8-1-1 record versus Brandon during the 2021-22 regular season led by forward Matthew Savoie who registered 16 points (2 goals and 14 assists) in 10 games. Owen Pederson and Mikey Milne led the ICE with six goals each.

ROSTER The ICE preseason roster includes 19 forwards, 11 defenseman and 4 goaltenders.

- 21 players skated in at least one regular season game for the ICE last season (Benson, Boucher, Bruce, Cowan, Cumby, Fraser, Friesen, Geekie, Harmacy, Hauser, Lambos, McClennon, Mettimano, Milne, Oiring, Pederson, Savoie, Segafredo, Streule, Woo, Zloty).

The WHL record for most shutouts in a season belongs to the 2003-04 Kelowna Rockets when Kelly Guard and Derek Yeomans combined for 14.
