PrairieThunder Ends Three Game Losing Streak and Defeats Rapid City

The Bloomington PrairieThunder, led by Garrett Klotz hat trick, defeated the Rapid City Rush 5-2 on Sunday afternoon at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum. With the victory, Bloomington improves to 20-13-1 and the PThunder is once again just one point out of first place in the CHL's Turner Conference; this time behind the Quad City Mallards.

Garrett Klotz not only scored the hat trick, he scored the first goal of the game and the game winning goal. The game winner came at 5:46 of the third period on assists from Jamie Lovell and Brodie Sheahan. Lovell and Sheahan scored the other PrairieThunder goals and Lovell had a three point night with a goal and two assists. Bloomington goaltender Marco Emond got his 16th win of the season stopping 35 of 37 shots.

Bloomington is off until Friday night when they again host the Fort Wayne Komets at 7:05pm at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
