The Bloomington PrairieThunder improved to 15-8-1 on the year by defeating the Evansville IceMen (10-14-4) 2-1 in a shootout on Sunday afternoon at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. Bloomington has won four of their last six and are a perfect 3-0 in shootouts this season. Evansville took a 1-0 lead into the third period before newcomer Brodie Sheahan scored his first professional goal at the 8:42 mark with assists from veterans Jon Booras and John Snowden.

Bloomington is in Quad City on Monday night to take on the Mallards at 7:05pm. The next PrairieThunder home game is Thursday night, December 30th, against the Dayton Gems at 7:05pm
