Mitchell: Allowed 4 R on 8 H over 5.0 IP with 4 K and 1 BB in 8/22 ND vs. WVP (5-4 Power)

POWER REPLAY: West Virginia was shutout 7-0 on Sunday afternoon by the Hickory Crawdads. The Crawdads scored once in the fourth off Power starter Robby Rowland and added six against West Virginia's bullpen over the seventh and eighth innings. The Power were held to three hits and did not have a baserunner after the fifth inning. Rowland took the loss as West Virginia fell for the third time in the four game series with Hickory.

FOUR BEHIND WITH SEVEN TO GO: West Virginia enters play tonight four games behind the Hagerstown Suns with seven games remaining in the 2012 season. The Power have a series at Charleston starting this evening and will host Delmarva (22-40 in the second half) over Labor Day weekend. The Suns have games at Greensboro (31-31) and at home against Asheville (26-27). The Hickory Crawdads are also in the mix for the division title, sitting three game back entering play this evening.

WEST V. SOUTH: Entering the 2012 season, West Virginia and Charleston had only met 35 times since 2005. After 11 meeting this year already, the RiverDogs own a 24-22 edge in the all-time series, having added eight wins to their tally. The Power, however, took two of three at Appalachian Power Park last week. West Virginia is 10-14 all-time at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.

START THE BUS: West Virginia embarks on its' final road trip of the season today. The Power went 7-29 on the road in the first half of the 2012 season, but have gone 18-14 away from home in the second half. The club record for the fewest road wins is 27, set by the inaugural 2005 team. The 2012 edition has already lost more road games in a single season than any other team in Power history.

POLANCO ACTIVATED: Gregory Polanco was activated from West Virginia's Disabled List on Sunday prior to the game with Hickory and went 0-4 in his first game since August 9. The Power All-Star suffered a sprained left ankle on August 9 at Lexington. The Power went 8-7 in the fifteen games that their center fielder missed.

26 DOWN AND 1 TO GO: Nick Kingham leads the SAL with 26 starts this season and is lined up to start one more game in 2012. The right-hander has compiled 108 strikeouts over 120.0 innings pitched, both tops on the club. Since 2009, only Hunter Strickland (126.1 in 2009), Jason Erickson (128.2 in 2010), and Zack Von Rosenberg (125.1 last year) have thrown more innings.

POWER POINTS: Justin Ennis was placed on the Power Disabled List on Sunday, retroactive to August 25... 2011 SAL All-Star Jameson Taillon was named as the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week on Monday for August 20-27. Taillon was promoted a week and a half ago and went 2-0 in his first two Double- A starts, pitching 11 scoreless innings and striking out 13.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh lost 4-3 to St. Louis at PNC Park. A.J. Burnett took the loss and fell to 15-5 this season... Indianapolis bested Columbus 8-5... Altoona split a doubleheader with Akron, falling 4-1 and winning 7-1... Bradenton's game with For Myers was rained out and will be made up as part of a twinbill today. The Marauders are 2.5 games behind Jupiter with seven games left... State College lost 12-1 to Auburn..
