Charleston RiverDogs News Release

CHARLESTON, SC - Although the GOP Convention in Tampa moves forward, the on-going downpour in the Lowcountry on Tuesday has forced the Charleston RiverDogs to postpone tonight's baseball game against the West Virginia Power and the much-anticipated Bobblection promotion.

The RiverDogs will battle the Power in a doubleheader on Wednesday in two 7-inning games that begin at 5:05 pm. The gates of Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park open at 4 pm, with the giveaway of either a Barack Obama or a Mitt Romney bobblehead to the first 1,000 fans.

Fans will be directed to enter one of two gates, marked for each candidate. (Obama supporters will enter via the line on the left, while Romney supporters will enter to the right.) At the top of the steps a bobblehead of the fans' chosen candidate will be handed until one candidate's bobbles run out. The first of the candidates to run out of all 500 bobbleheads will be declared the winner for the Charleston polling place.

The previous two presidential elections have been correctly predicted both locally in Charleston as well as on the national scale of the Bobblection promotion.

Though utilized during the season on Tuesdays, the RiverDogs will install a Two-for-Wednesday opportunity as fans can receive two tickets for the price of one for the doubleheader. Also, as part of the "regular" Tuesday fun at The Joe, Craft Beer Tap Tuesday is now Craft Beer Wednesday and the $3 aluminum pints of MillerCoors beer will be available at this game. It's The Citadel Day at the ballpark where all cadets will get in free. Additionally, seniors eat free and Wednesday is another Military Appreciation Day presented by General Dynamics Land Systems Force Protection and Rick Hendrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge.

Updated results of Bobblection are available at www.bobblection.com where Gov. Romney is close to securing an overall victory. But then again, as we have all come to learn, every single vote counts.

Fans that hold tickets to Tuesday's game may exchange their ticket for either Wednesday or the season-ending game on Thursday. Fans are entitled to a ticket of equal or lesser value, subject to availability. All transactions must take place at the RiverDogs Box Office and there are no monetary refunds.

For additional information and for tickets, please call the RiverDogs at 843/577-DOGS (3647) or online at www.riverdogs.com.
