Pouliot recalled by Edmonton

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Edmonton Oilers have recalled center Marc-Antoine Pouliot from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced on Thursday.

Pouliot, the Oilers' first choice, 22nd overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, currently ranks fourth in scoring on the Penguins with 29 points (12+17) in 30 games. The 6'1", 195-pound native of Quebec City, Quebec is fourth in goals and seventh in assists.

The NHL rookie netted a hat trick in the Pens' 5-2 road win over the Philadelphia Phantoms on Wednesday night, extending his scoring streak to three games (4+1=5).

This will be the second stint with the Oilers for Pouliot this season, as he was first recalled to Edmonton on November 29,. He scored three points (2+1) with four penalty minutes in 18 games with the Oilers before being assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on January 8th.

Pouliot, who played eight games with the Oilers in 2005-06, has scored four points (3+1) with in 26 career NHL games with Edmonton.
