Moose Celebrate Follow Your Dreams, Old Time Hockey Saturday Night vs. Syracuse

The Manitoba Moose are pleased to announce a pair of events that will take place this Saturday, February 10th at the MTS Centre when the Moose play host to their North Division rival, the Syracuse Cunch, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The Moose, along with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Tribal Council Investment Group (TCIG), and First Nations & Inuit Health Branch (FNIB), will welcome over 2,500 aboriginal youth to the MTS Centre as part of the eighth annual "Follow Your Dreams" Night.

The Moose will also take fans once again on a trip down memory lane as part of Old Time Hockey Night.

The following outlines each of the night's events:

Eighth Annual "Follow Your Dreams" Night

- Over 2,500 Aboriginal youth from all over the province of Manitoba will attend the game, including children and families from as far away as God's Lake or Bloodvein.

- Perimeter Airlines has donated over 10 flights which are bringing Aboriginal youth from Northern Manitoba to the game.

- Grammy Nominated local rapper Fresh IE will also perform prior to the game for the group.

- Each child will reveive a military style dog tag which has the phone number for the Aboriginal Suicide Prevention Hotline which was launched last year at the seventh annual "Follow Your Dreams" Night.

Old Time Hockey Night

- The Moose will wear a special jersey to honor the evening.

- The 2006-07 Manitoba Moose Hockey Cards will be unveiled at the game

o 500 full sets will be handed out during the game

o Random single cards will be given away to fans at the door when they enter the building.

- The first 2,000 fans in the MTS Centre will also receive a "vintage goalie mask cut-out"

- Prizes will be given away all night to over 2,000 minor hockey league players in attendance as part of Minor Hockey Night as well.

o Kids can wear their minor hockey league jersey and win great prizes from the Moose and the Hockey Hall of Fame

- Both the Memorial Cup and the Allen Cup, two of hockey's oldest trophies, along with numerous jerseys from prominent Manitoba hockey players will be on display in the main concourse courtesy of the Hockey Hall of Fame.

- Heritage videos direct from the Hockey Hall of Fame will play on the concourse throughout the night

- Fans will enjoy old-time organ music throughout the game.

Over 12,500 tickets have already been sold for the game on Saturday, but good seats are still available in the lower bowl.
