Knights Sign Defenseman Chris Lee

The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights announced today that they have signed defenseman Chris Lee to a professional tryout. Lee will join the Knights for their game tonight at Houston at 7:05 p.m.

Lee is in his third professional season and third with the Florida Everblades of the ECHL. In 37 games this season, he has six goals and 19 assists for 25 points. He also has 22 penalty minutes. The native of MacTier, Ontario has also played three games with Albany and one with Bridgeport of the AHL, earning one assist and four penalty minutes. In 2005-06, he was named to the ECHL American Conference All-Star roster. Prior to turning pro, Lee spent four season playing college hockey at SUNY-Potsdam in upstate New York. He finished his career with 115 points in 110 games. He was twice named a SUNYAC Second Team All American and during his senior year was named a SUNYAC First Team All American.

Following tonight's game, the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights continue their season-high six-game road trip at Rochester on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. CST. All the action of the Knights' road trip can be heard live on 1420 KOTK and on the internet at omahaaksarbenknights.com. The game also can be seen on-line through the B2 Networks link on the Knights' web site. The Knights will return to the Omaha Civic Auditorium Saturday February 17th for a 2:00 p.m. afternoon matinee versus the Peoria Rivermen.

Tickets for all Ak-Sar-Ben Knights' games are on sale at the Omaha Civic Auditorium box office Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets also are available through all Ticketmaster outlets and by phone at (402) 422-1212. Kids 12 and under get in free with a paid adult on tickets purchased after 5:00 p.m. Other restrictions apply.
