Potomac Nationals News Release
Following last night's cancellation vs. Salem, the Potomac Nationals (31-32) host the Myrtle Beach Pelicans (34-31) this evening in game one of a five game series, the final series before the All-Star break.
Potomac will send RHP Erick Fedde (3-3, 5.00) to the hill, as he was activated from the DL earlier today. Fedde tossed six-shutout innings on 5/28 shortly before he went on the DL. The righty has made one start vs. the Pelicans. Fedde allowed three runs over six innings on April 26th in a victory over Myrtle Beach. For the Pelicans, RHP Jonathan Martinez (3-4, 5.08) has lost three straight decisions. Martinez picked up a loss vs. Potomac in the April 26th matchup, as the righty allowed five earned runs over six innings.
