
Potomac and Wilmington Postponed Again

Woodbridge, VA---The P-Nats (10-15-Overall, 4-7-Home) and the Blue Rocks (13-11-Overall, 4-6-Road) were washed away for the second consecutive day in Woodbridge on Wednesday night and will now play two on Thursday evening at Pfitzner Stadium.
After a late arriving storm showered the Woodbridge area steadily from 5:30 pm until well into the evening on Tuesday night another rain cell washed over the area Wednesday, showering The Pfitz in rain for the better part of four hours before the decision was finally made.
The twin bill has been postponed and rescheduled as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, May 7th. Both contests will consist of seven innings apiece and first pitch in Game One will be at 5 pm. Game Two will follow roughly 30-45 minutes following the conclusion of Game One and gates will open at 4 pm.
Potomac will send the number three overall prospect in the Nationals system, RHP Reynaldo Lopez (0-0, 0.00), to the mound in Game One followed by RHP Casey Janssen (0-0, 0.00), who will make a MLB rehab appearance with RHP Nick Pivetta (1-2, 1.73) piggybacking in Game Two. Wilmington will counter with LHP Luis Rico (2-0, 2.93) for Game One and RHP Yender Caramo (0-1, 3.00).
The third and final game of this three game series will be made up as part of a doubleheader at Pfitzner Stadium on Wednesday, May 27th with first pitch scheduled for 6 pm.
