TEAM NOTABLES

On Sunday, the New York Liberty (9-3) defeated the Washington Mystics (8-5) in overtime, 89-88,in the second contest of their 2023 four-game season series.

At Barclays Center, the Liberty finished on 37% (27-73) shooting from the field, 34.3% (12-35) from three, and 79.3% (23-29) at the free throw line.

New York out-rebounded Washington 45-29 in today's contest, pulling down a season-high 45 rebounds, including a season-high 14 on the offensive glass.

Today, the Liberty overcame a 17-point deficit, their largest comeback of the season, taking their first lead at the 6:04 mark of the fourth quarter.

New York's overtime victory was the team's first since July 1, 2018.

Up Next: The New York Liberty will travel take on the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday, June 27, at 7 p.m. ET in the first of a three-game road trip.

Q1: Washington opened the contest on a 23-6 run through the 2:42 mark of the first period.

Q2: New York went on a 12-4 run from the 7:29 mark of the second to the 2:56 mark of the period.

PLAYER NOTABLES

New York finished with four double-digit scorers in today's game (Ionescu, Stewart, Laney, Vandersloot).

Sabrina Ionescu finished with 31 points on 47.4% (9-19) shooting from the field, including 58.3% (7-12) from three, six assists, and three rebounds.

AT&T 2023 WNBA All-Star Captain, Breanna Stewart,totaled 18 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Stewart converted on an and-one layup at the 2.0 mark of OT, giving the Liberty their final lead of the contest.

With her three-pointer at the 2:56 mark of the second quarter, Betnijah Laney eclipsed the career milestone for 1,500 points. Ultimately, Laney finished with 17 points on 54.5% (6-11) shooting from the floor, including 66.7% (4-6) from three, six rebounds, and two assists.

Courtney Vandersloot added 11 points on 41.6% (5-12) shooting from the field, seven rebounds, and six assists. Her layup at the 0:02 mark of the fourth tied the game at 78 apiece and forced OT.

For Washington, Ariel Atkins and Natasha Cloud added 24 and 23 points, respectively.
