
Breanna Stewart Voted AT&T 2023 WNBA All-Star Game Captain

NEW YORK - The WNBA announced today that Liberty forward Breanna Stewart has been voted as a team captain and starter in the AT&T 2023 WNBA All-Star Game, to be held on Saturday, July 15 at Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas.
Stewart, the Liberty's first-ever All-Star captain, will make her fifth WNBA All-Star appearance and second consecutive as a captain. This season, she is averaging 22.9 points (2nd in WNBA), 10.8 rebounds (1st in WNBA), 4.2 assists (T-12th in WNBA), 1.9 blocks (4th in WNBA), and 1.4 steals (T-7th in WNBA) while shooting 49.4% from the field, 39.7% from three and 83.3% at the free throw line through 11 contests. Additionally, Breanna became the first player in WNBA history to record at least 200 points, 100 rebounds, and 40 assists through the first 10 games of a season.
The New York native is now the Liberty's 18th all-time player selected as an All-Star in franchise history.
The league's head coaches will select the 12 All-Star reserves, which will be announced on Saturday, July 1. Stewart will be featured in ESPN's broadcast of the WNBA All-Star Team Selection Special on Saturday, July 8 (1 p.m. ET). The AT&T 2023 WNBA All-Star Game will be broadcast on ABC (8:30 p.m. ET).
