WHL Spokane Chiefs

Post-Season Scenario Update

Spokane Chiefs News Release

With two games remaining the regular season the Spokane Chiefs best finish in the Western Conference would be fourth place. If the Chiefs win both of their remaining games and finish tied with Everett, who would have to lose tonight to Chilliwack, the Silvertips would still own the tie-breaker for third place in the Conference. Everett and Tri-City still have a shot at first place.

The Chiefs know they will face the Portland Winterhawks in the first round of the playoffs. Still up for grabs is the fourth seed and the home ice advantage that would go with it. If the Chiefs get one point in their final two games or Portland losses against Seattle tonight, Spokane will clinch fourth. Portland trails the Chiefs by two points going into tonight's games, the Chiefs at Tri-City and the Winterhawks at Seattle.

Mike Boyle will go on the air Saturday at 6:30 with Comcast HockeyTonight on 1510 KGA as Spokane finishes their regular season series with the Americans.

Spokane hosts the Silvertips on Sunday night at 6:00 on the Coca-Cola Regular Season Finale and Poster Giveaway Night presented by XO Communications.

Tickets are available by calling the Chiefs office at (509) 535-PUCK or TicketsWest at (800) 325-SEAT.

The playoff schedule will be finalized and announced once the seeds are determined. Individual playoff tickets will go on sale to the public on Monday morning at 9:00 am.
