Homestand Notes: August 17-20, 2010

Ports Host Healthy Heart Night, Post-Game Fireworks in Homestand

STOCKTON, Calif.-The Ports welcome the Lancaster JetHawks to town from August 17-20 in their second-to-last homestand of the 2010 season. All games will begin at 7:05 p.m., and gates will open to the general public at 6:05 p.m. Fans are encouraged to attend these games and cheer on the Ports as they make a run for the playoffs.

The Ports are proud to present their fans with several exciting promotions and giveaways for these games.

Fun & Entertainment:

Healthy Heart Night: The Ports are excited to partner with the American Heart Association to host Healthy Heart Night on Tuesday, August 17, to promote heart health awareness. Fans can get a free blood pressure screening and learn CPR skills for free on the concourse during the game, and learn more about how to prevent heart disease. Fans can also take advantage of a $6 field box ticket deal by entering the promo code "HEART" when they order tickets for the game online at www.stocktonports.com.

Two-for-Tuesdays: The Ports have two great Two-for-Tuesday deals available to their fans for August 17, courtesy of Wienerschnitzel and KRAFT Singles. Fans can buy 1 Field Box or MVP ticket, get 1 free with a coupon from a local Wienerschnitzel restaurant. Fans can also Buy 1 Ticket, Get 1 Free from KRAFT Singles with purchase. Bring your KRAFT Singles package wrapper to a Ports home game on Tuesdays for a steal of a deal! Fans can also enjoy $2 tacos and $2 sodas from the Tecate Cantina inside Banner Island Ballpark.

Web Wednesdays: The Stockton Ports are proud to present their fans with special offers on www.stocktonports.com as well as on Facebook and Twitter for discounted tickets, merchandise and more for Wednesday home games! The Ports are also excited to offer their Silver Slugger Wednesdays, presented by SCAN Health Plan, and 99.3 KJOY. SCAN HP Silver Slugger members receive a free ticket to every Wednesday home game. Also on Wednesdays, fans can play Baseball Bingo, sponsored by Food 4 Less/Rancho San Miguel. All fans get to play Baseball Bingo for a chance to win $100 in gift certificates to Food 4 Less/Rancho San Miguel along with other great prizes. Fans can also purchase two tickets for the price of one for the Ports Legends of Baseball Memorabilia Raffle at Wednesday's game, courtesy of the United Way of San Joaquin.

Thirsty Thursday: The Ports will host another Thirsty Thursday on August 19, sponsored by 97.7 & 98.3 KWIN. Fans can enjoy 16 oz. domestic beer and sodas for just $2 until 8:00 p.m. while watching Thursday's game against the Lancaster JetHawks. The game that evening will also be televised live regionally on Comcast Hometown Network, Channel 104 for Comcast customers.

Legends of Baseball Memorabilia Winners: The Stockton Ports will draw the winners of their Legends of Baseball Memorabilia raffle on Thursday, August 19. The Legends of Baseball Memorabilia Raffle is a season-long initiative. Fans ages 18 and older can purchase raffle tickets for $20 for a chance to win the following memorabilia:

Grand Prize: Collection of Autographed baseballs from the Top 10 career home run hitters in MLB History

-includes 10 single signed baseballs by Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, Willie Mays, Ken Griffey JR, Sammy Sosa, Frank Robinson, Alex Rodriguez, Mark McGwire, and Harmon Killebrew housed in a custom display case.

1st Prize: One baseball autographed by members of the MLB 3,000 Hit Club

Each ball will also come with a PSA/DNA certificate of authenticity.

Fans can purchase raffle tickets at the Ports Ticket Office and Front Office during their hours of operation, and also at the Ports guest services booth during Ports games. The raffle will last up to Thursday, August 19, 2010, when the Ports will hold the prize drawings on-field at their 7:05pm game against the Lancaster JetHawks.

Proceeds raised from the raffle will benefit participating charitable organizations and the Stockton Ports Anchor Fund which aids several community projects, with a focus on youth centers and youth sports.

Friday Night Fun: The Stockton Ports are excited to host another great post-game fireworks show on August 20, sponsored by Jackson Rancheria Casino & Hotel. The game on August 20 is also Scout Night. Boy scouts can purchase special packages which include a post-game campout on the outfield and food vouchers. Scouts will participate in a pre-game, on-field parade and will receive a commemorative Ports Scout Patch. Fans can also take advantage of the new 4 for $44 Fridays deal, which includes 4 field box tickets, and $20 in ballpark currency for just $44 (a $56 value!). The game that evening will also be televised live regionally on Comcast Hometown Network, Channel 104 for Comcast customers.

V.I.Ports Experience: The Ports are hosting a special V.I. Ports Experience drawing, which ends on Friday, August 20. The Grand Prize is the opportunity to throw out a first pitch, receive a Grant Green autographed baseball, and then relax at a Ports game in style with four seats and dinner in the exclusive Comcast Club. In order to enter the drawing, fans ages 21 years and older just need to text "PORTS" to 95495 before August 20. The lucky winner will be able to enjoy their V.I.P. Broadcasting:

On the Television: The Ports will have 20 home games televised regionally on Comcast Hometown Network (Channel 104 for Comcast customers) throughout the season. Ports broadcaster Zack Bayrouty will be on the air calling the play-by-play for the Ports, while Dan Dibley of KNBR will be the color analyst. On the Radio: Every Ports game can be heard on KWSX 1280 AM, the home of the Stockton Ports, this season. Zack Bayrouty, the Voice of the Ports, will be calling the play-by-play for his fourth season this year with Curtis Bryant. Fans can also hear his radio broadcasts online at www.stocktonports.com as part of the free audio streaming feature.

Ticket Information:

The ticket prices for the 2010 season are listed below. Fans can purchase single game tickets at a discounted price in advance at the box office or anytime at the official Stockton Ports website. All ticket sales through the Ports website at www.stocktonports.com are considered advanced sales. Fans that purchase tickets on the day of the game pay full price.

The ticket office at the stadium will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday during the preseason and on non-game days. During the season on Monday through Friday game days, the office will be open from 9 a.m. until the end of the game. On weekend game days, the office will be open from 10 a.m. until the end of the game.
