Happenings On The Ice:

The Winterhawks sent goaltender Kurtis Mucha to the Kamloops Blazers yesterday in exchange for a pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft. Any media who wish to speak to GM & Head Coach Mike Johnston or any Winterhawks players should contact Graham Kendrick.

Brett Ponich will miss the games on Tuesday and Wednesday as he suits up for Team WHL in the Subway Super Series against the Russian National Junior Team in Victoria, British Columbia. hosts Regina Tuesday looking to snap a two-game losing streak. Despite the two losses, the team received solid production from its top line, getting eight combined points in the two games from Chris Francis and Luke Walker. Francis leads the team with 31 points, while Walker tops the Winterhawks with 15 goals.

Happenings Off The Ice:

The annual Bank of the West Teddy Bear Toss is coming up on Saturday. The Winterhawks will be looking to set a new world record, currently held by the Calgary Hitmen with 26,919 bears. Fans can purchase bears for just $1 at local Dollar Tree stores. All teddy bears collected at the game will be donated to local childrens hospitals and charities.

Tickets for the Teddy Bear Toss are going fast, and the team is anticipating a sellout. The best value for the game is the Teddy 10-Pack, 10 tickets and 10 Hawk Eyes hats beginning at just $120. Winterhawks players will be signing autographs at the Oregon City Fred Meyer on Sunday, November 29 at 5 p.m. The store is located at 1839 Molalla Avenue in Oregon City. players will be participating in the Dash For Food on December 3, and media are invited to attend. The players will work in pairs and compete against other teams to see who can collect the most food in five minutes, with all food getting donated to the Oregon Food Bank. The competition will also include former NFL and Oregon Ducks quarterback Joey Harrington. The Dash For food starts at 10 a.m. on Dec. 3 at the Albertsons located at 8155 Hall Blvd.
