Tri-City Americans News Release

KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has traded the rights to 18-year-old forward Spencer Asuchak to the Prince George Cougars for a pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft. The move drops Tri-City's roster to 24 players (14 forwards, 8 defensemen and 2 goaltenders).

Asuchak, listed at 6'4 210 pounds, has appeared in 12 games for Tri-City this season, tallying two goals, four points and 10 penalty minutes. Listed by Tri-City in April of 2007, Asuchak has appeared in 50 career WHL games, totaling six goals, 11 points and 51 penalty minutes.

"We needed to get our numbers down and this is a way for Spencer to hopefully get more ice time," said Tory. "We thank him for his contributions to the team and wish him the best of luck in Prince George."

The Americans return to the ice this Wednesday, when they face-off against the Portland Winterhawks. Game time is 7:05 p.m. at Toyota Center. Tickets are available through all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Toyota Center box office, all Fred Meyer outlets, or online at ticketmaster.com. Fans can also catch all the action live on NewsTalk 870 AM, starting with the Sterling Savings Bank Warm-up Show at 6:45 p.m.
