(Salem, OR) - Today, the Governor's Office and the Oregon Health Authority released a public service announcement produced with the Portland Timbers urging Oregonians to get vaccinated to protect against COVID-19. The PSA will be shared on social media and with community-based partners.
"Oregon, it's going to take a team effort to vaccinate enough people to end this pandemic, and I'm glad we have the Timbers in our corner," said Governor Brown. "I'd like to thank everyone on the team and all the fans who are helping us to spread the word that vaccines are safe, effective, and available today."
"I work all game for the perfect shot. And when it finally lines up, I always take it," said Timbers midfielder Eryk Williamson in the PSA. "Oregon, you've worked hard and given up a lot during the pandemic. It's time to finish this thing. The COVID-19 vaccine is the safest and best way to protect ourselves, our loved ones, and our community. Don't miss your shot."
