Long Island Ducks News Release
(Central Islip, N.Y., August 27, 2004) â For fans of the Long Island Ducks, this was the moment they had waited almost five years for. At 10:00 a.m. on Thursday morning, the ticket office window opened and Ducks playoff tickets began to fly out the window. By closing time at 6:00 p.m., just over 200 of the 6,002 seats remained available for the first playoff game in Citibank Park history. Approximately 800 tickets remain for the other three potential home playoff games.
"We had a great turnout and people really used the phone and Internet," said Ducks general manager Michael Hirsch. "Even with the turnout, great seats remain available for all of our playoff games."
Fans can purchase remaining Ducks playoff tickets by visiting the Citibank Park box office, by calling 1-888-332-5600, or by going to www.liducks.com and clicking on the tickets.com link. Ticket prices for playoff games at Citibank Park range from $8.00 (standing room only) to $11.00 (field box seats) per seat.
The Long Island Ducks, 2004 first half North Division champions, play their home games at Citibank Park and are celebrating their fifth anniversary season of play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
