Pride top Warriors, 4-1

August 27th, 2004 (Nashua, NH) - The Nashua Pride took their second straight game against the Pennsylvania Road Warriors on Friday night, 4-1, in front of 2,031 fans at Historic Holman Stadium.

In the bottom of the first inning Raul Rodarte doubled to left field. Dante Bichette followed with a single, scoring Rodarte.

With the game tied at one, Brad King crushed his eighth homerun of the season to left field in the second inning to give the Pride the 3-1 lead. Coming around to score on the homerun was Edgar Tovar who singled to lead off the inning.

With his single in the first inning, Bichette extended his hitting streak to sixteen games.

Earning the win for the Pride was starter Denny Harriger (8.1IP, 6H, 1R, 1ER, 1BB, 5K). Harriger's strong performance improved his overall record to 2-2 on the season. Luis Andujar picks up his second save of the season after recording the last two outs of the game. Taking the tough-luck loss for the Road Warriors was starter Julian Heredia (8IP, 7H, 4R, 4ER, 3BB, 9K), dropping his record to 3-14.

Nashua and Pennsylvania take to the field on Saturday to finish up their three game series. The Pride send right hander Brad Guy (8-10, 5.84) to the mound versus Road Warriors right hander Felix Rodriguez (2-13, 7.61). Game time is 6:35PM. Following the game will be a fireworks display sponsored by Fidelity Investments. Great seats are still available.
