WEST HAVEN, CT -New Haven County SS Chas Terni hit a three-run HR in the fourth inning to help lead the Cutters to a 8-1 victory over the Rox at Yale Field in West Haven, CT in Game 1 of the first round of the Can-Am League Playoffs. With one out, 1B Francisco Lebron singled to deep third base, plating the game's first run. The Rox had the bases loaded on a pair of hits and walk in the second inning, but LHP Rolando Valles struck out a batter and got a pop out to escape a jam. In the second frame, a walk, a LF Horace Lawrence RBI double, and a wild pitch allowed the Cutters to take a 2-1 lead.
The game remained a 2-1 New Haven County advantage into the fourth. With two on and one out, SS Chas Terni hit a three-run HR off Guy to make it a 5-1 Cutter lead.
