SECOND SEASON BEGINS

The Oilers and Americans clashed 17 times during the regular season and have never faced each other in the postseason. Tulsa was 5-10-2 overall against Allen and the Americans claimed victory in each of the last four meetings. Six of the 17 encounters were decided by a single goal and the Americans finished the season series with an overall edge of 77-51 in total goals scored. Allen was the highest-scoring team in the ECHL (4.0 goals per game) and finished with the most penalty minutes (22.8 per game) in the league. Both clubs enter the postseason with momentum as the Oilers went 10-4-2 in their final 16 games of the regular season and the Americans played their final 11 games without a regulation loss (9-0-2).

NARROW MARGINS

The Oilers fell short in the regular season finale on Saturday in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Quad City Mallards. Despite finishing the season with the same number of wins (37) as Quad City and Rapid City, the Oilers finished one point behind both squads in the final standings and settled for the fourth seed in the Central Division playoffs.

TWO IN A ROW

The Oilers appeared in the postseason last year as a member of the Central Hockey League and will participate in the playoffs in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2000 and 2001. Tulsa finished the regular season with 37 victories, the highest win total of Bruce Ramsay's six-year tenure as Head Coach and the highest win total since the 2002-03 season.

AT THE TOP OF THEIR GAME

Drew Fisher tied for third in the league scoring race with 77 points and finished second in the ECHL with 59 assists. Adam Pleskach, who put up 33 goals last season as a rookie, finished his sophomore campaign with 41 goals, the second-highest total in the ECHL. Kevin Carr led all rookie goaltenders with 30 wins and became the first Oilers' goalie to earn 30 wins in a single season since Rod Branch in 2002-03. Jeff Jubinville tied for third among rookies with 63 points and was one of only two rookies in the ECHL to register 30 goals and 30 assists.

COMING THROUGH IN THE CLUTCH

Right-wing Adam Pleskach ended the regular season on a five-game point streak (4 goals, 3 assists) and put up at least one point in eight of the last nine games.

ROAD WARRIORS

The Oilers earned points in 14 of their final 17 regular season road games (12-3-2) and finished the season with a road record of 19-13-2-2, their highest road win total of the Bruce Ramsay era.

HOT GOALIE

Kevin Carr set a new franchise record with a goals against average of 2.73 for the 2014-15 season. The previous mark was held by Trevor Cann who posted a 2.81 goals against average for the 2009-10 season. The 24-year old rookie was in net for 30 of the Oilers' 37 wins this season and played 70-percent of the total minutes. Carr allowed one goal or fewer in nine of his final 12 appearances of the season.

OIL DROPS

Bruce Ramsay is making his third playoff appearance as Oilers' Head Coach...Tulsa has not advanced past the second round of the playoffs since 1994...Jeff Jubinville (62 points) is the highest-scoring Oilers' rookie since Mike Ullrich and Dylan Clarke recorded 64 points during the 2011-12 season...Andy Iles, a rookie goalie who played for the Alaska Aces and Florida Everblades this season, signed with the Oilers on Friday...Defenseman Sean Erickson was claimed off waivers on Thursday and played in the final two games of the regular season.
