(CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas) - Despite the afternoon rains in downtown Corpus Christi today, tonight's scheduled playoff game between the Hooks and the Midland RockHounds will get under way at 7:05 pm. Hooks' starter Juan Gutierrez will battle Midland ace Brad Knox in Game 1 of the Texas League's South Division playoffs.
The Whataburger Field gates will open at 5:30 pm in preparation for tonight's game. The first 5,000 fans through the gates tonight will receive a "Let's Go Hooks" rally towel thanks to Wells Fargo. Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan will be on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
