(CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas) - The first-ever playoff game in the history of the Corpus Christi Hooks takes place tonight at Whataburger Field, with the first pitch slated for 7:05 pm. Juan Gutierrez goes up against Midland's Brad Knox in a match-up of two of the best pitchers in the league today.

The first 5,000 fans that make their way through the gates at Whataburger Field today (gates open at 5:30 pm) will receive a "Let's Go Hooks" rally towel courtesy of Wells Fargo. Plus, Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan, one of the principal owners of the Hooks, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and stay to watch tonight's historic game.

The fun begins at 4:00 pm this afternoon at the Brewster Street Ice House, the official Hooks' Playoff Headquarters! "Dave's Duo" will provide live music starting at 4:30, and Brewster's will have Happy Hour specials including $1.75 pints and $1 oyster shooters. In addition, five pair of playoff tickets for tonight's game will be given away at today's playoff party.

And here's a bonus for fans with tickets to tonight's game - those tickets may be redeemed at the American Bank Center box office to purchase tickets to Thursday night's Hank Williams Jr. concert for just $10! Fans can redeem these tickets during normal business hours on Wednesday at the ABC box office.
