Platzer Named as One of AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of The month

Princeton, NJ (Nov. 1st) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, announced today that forward Kyle Platzer has been selected as one of four recipients of the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performers of the Month for October.

Platzer, along with Michael Joly, Brady Shaw and Lindsay Sparks, all finished the month with a plus-minus rating of +8. He was at least a +1 in all six of Wichita's games during October, including a +3 on the 13th against Indy. He is tied for third in the ECHL with five goals and second in points (11). The Waterloo, Ontario native recently was named as the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for the week of October 16th through the 22nd.

In recognition of their accomplishment, AMI graphics will present each player with a personalized Plus Performer of the Month Banner during an on-ice ceremony at an upcoming home game.

The Thunder plays two of the next three at home starting on Friday night against the Allen Americans.
