
Lehigh Valley Recalls D James De Haas

Reading, PA - The Lehigh Valley Phantoms have recalled defenseman James de Haas from the Reading Royals, the teams announced Wednesday. In four games this season, de Haas has three assists, tied for the most among Royals defensemen.
The 23-year-old native of Mississauga, ON is in his rookie season. Last year, de Haas captained Clarkson University and recorded the most points in a single season by a Golden Knights blueliner (29) in 14 seasons. The Red Wings drafted de Haas in the sixth round (170 overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
Reading plays five road games in six days, starting this Friday, Nov. 3 at Worcester for a 7:05 p.m. puck drop. The next home game is Sat., Nov. 11 vs. Jacksonville at 7 p.m. for Veteran's Appreciation Night and a Royals rally towel giveaway to the first 2,500 fans, courtesy of U.G.I. Utilities.
