Pittsburgh Xplosion host final Western Pennsylvania open tryout

PITTSBURGH, September 14, 2006 - The Pittsburgh Xplosion professional basketball team will hold its final open tryout camp for the 2006-07 season on Saturday, September 30. The tryout camp will run from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and be conducted at the team's practice facility located in the Club 4 Life in Monroeville, Pa.

Team general manager Freddie Lewis, a four-time ABA All-Star with the Indiana Pacers, and the Xplosion coaching staff will evaluate the group of players hoping to chase their professional basketball dreams.

The registration fee for the tryout camp is $125. Individuals can pre-register on-line at www.pittsburghxplosion.com. The deadline for pre-registration is Friday, September 29. For more information call 877-410-9900.

The Xplosion finished the 2005-06 season ranked sixth in the nation with a record of 18-12 and advanced to the second round of the American Basketball Association playoffs.
