September 14, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Jersey Express News Release

Newark, NJ - September 15th, The Newark Express will hold the Final Open Try-out for the 2006-2007 Basketball Season on Saturday, September 16th. Camp will begin promptly @ 4pm, where the final players selected will be invited to attend training camp.

"We anticipate Mayor Booker being in attendance, and maybe he'll lace-up for a couple of drills. We'll open training camp in October, and hope to play at least two tune-up games, before opening night in November", stated Co-owner Marsha Blount.

The host for the final try-out will be the Newark YMCA, conveniently located at 600 Broad Street, Newark, NJ. The Washington Park Station stop on the newly opened NJ TRANSIT NEWARK LIGHT RAIL will leave you across the street from the YMCA.

"Training camp is around the corner, and I'm as excited for the season to begin as any of the players hoping to gain a roster spot. They're going to work hard, and play the game the way it's supposed to be played. We'll make sure that the guys that deserve to be seen...will be seen", stated Coach Moore.

To register for the Final open try-out, or for more information on the Newark Express, contact Coach Moore @ rmoore@newarkexpress.com or log onto www.newarkexpress.com or call 973-586-00006.
